Mrs Chapman
Kindergarten Manager

I am the manager of Leaside Under Fives Kindergarten and I am very lucky to be part of a very dedicated and highly qualified team. I have worked at Leaside since 2004. I currently hold an NVQ2 and NVQ3 in Early Years in Care and Education and NVQ4 in Childrens Care, Learning and Development. I hold numerous other childcare qualifications as well as First Aid and EPI-Pen training. I understand the importance of early goals to secure the building blocks for children’s further education.

Key Person

Mrs Milton - Deputy Leader & Key Person

I am the Deputy and Key Person at Leaside Kindergarten. I have been involved with Leaside since it's first year when my daughter joined. In 2001 I began working in the kitchen at Leaside providing healthy snacks for the children. I am a trained level 3 in early years education and also trained SENCO. I passionately believe all children should enjoy a high quality education to allow them to fulfill all their dreams and ambitions in life and Leaside is where the magic begins.

Mrs Conway-Baker, "Mrs Barbara"
Support Worker

My name is Amanda, when my youngest son left Leaside and started primary school I began work as a voluntary support worker and since the start of January this year I started working on a pay basis as my children are now older and I can work throughout the day. I have four children, two boys and two girls . I have a large family with lots of cousins, nieces and nephews which means that family gatherings are always busy with small children toddling around. I look after friends children quite often and I have young children living next door who are always round so the house is always busy and noisy.

My name is Mrs Niamh Spendiff. Straight after school I attended college as I always knew I wanted my career in childcare. I studied for a Diploma in Nursery Nursing (NNEB) 1999. Once I completed this I’ve always worked with children until I stopped to be a full time mum to my three children. Two of my children so far have attended Leaside Kindergarten and they loved it. I am now very pleased to be a part of the Kindergarten Team. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, helping them learn and develop through their everyday lifestyle, making them all special, teaching them to feel important and secure in the nursery setting.

My name is Barbara Conway-Baker - Mrs Barbara to the kids. I am mum to four very active kids, all of whom went to Leaside Kindergarten. I am currently studying for my Level 2 in under fives childcare and development. My passion is working with children and my work ethos is to treat each child as unique and individual. I do this through lots of fun, play and learning in a positive and stimulating environment.
